WooCommerce → Shopify

Leave WooCommerce maintenance behind without losing a single order record.

WooCommerce gives you control and charges you for it in plugins, hosting and developer hours. We migrate the store to Shopify with the full catalogue, customer base and order history intact, map every plugin to its Shopify equivalent, and redirect every URL so search traffic follows.

Why merchants move

If this sounds familiar.

  • Plugin conflicts and updates break checkout at the worst moments.
  • Hosting, security and performance are your problem, every month.
  • Variation and attribute data has grown messy over years.
  • The last agency quoted a rebuild instead of a migration.

What moves

Every entity, how it moves, and the risk.

The honest version — including the things that cannot move on any platform, and what we do about them.

How it works

Six steps to a clean cutover.

Typical timeline: 3–8 weeks. Your current store keeps selling until the switch.

  1. 01

    Audit and plan

Catalogue structure, plugins, integrations, URLs and traffic reviewed; plan and fixed quote delivered.

  2. 02

    Build the Shopify store

Theme, navigation, payments, shipping, taxes and apps configured while WooCommerce keeps selling.

  3. 03

    Migrate in test runs

Products, customers, orders, coupons and content migrated repeatedly until counts and samples match.

  4. 04

    Redirects and SEO

Full URL map deployed and tested; metadata, schema and sitemap prepared.

  5. 05

    Cutover

Delta migration of new orders and customers, DNS switch, redirects verified live.

  6. 06

    Monitor and fix

Two weeks of daily checks; 30 days of fixes; WooCommerce archived.

Variations are the hard part

WooCommerce lets you build products with unlimited attributes; Shopify allows three options. The audit finds every product that needs restructuring and we agree the mapping before anything moves, so the catalogue arrives clean rather than truncated.

Order history matters

Customers expect to see their orders and you need the reporting continuity. The full history moves as archived orders, verified against WooCommerce’s totals.

Plugins become platform

Payments, shipping, taxes, reviews, discounts, email — the plugin stack that made WooCommerce fragile is mostly built into Shopify or available as supported apps. The mapping is part of the plan, and integrations with your ERP, accounting or shipping tools are rebuilt properly.

FAQ

Migration questions.

Still unsure? Ask us directly — one human reply, no sales sequence.

Does our full order history come across?

Yes. Orders are imported as archived orders with line items, totals, dates and status, so customers see their history and your reporting keeps continuity.

What about products with many attributes?

Shopify supports three options per product; additional attributes move to metafields or the product is restructured. We plan this with you before migration so nothing is lost.

Can our subscriptions move?

Subscribers and their plans can be migrated to a Shopify subscription app, but saved payment methods cannot move between platforms. We run a re-consent flow so subscribers re-enter payment details securely.

How long does the WooCommerce store stay live?

Until cutover is verified. It keeps selling throughout the build, and a final delta migration brings the last orders and customers across.
