AI Search Pro is a Shopify app built and operated by BurTech Solution (“we”). This policy describes the data the app processes when a merchant installs it and when shoppers use search on the merchant’s storefront. The general Privacy Policy covers this website.
Data we process for merchants
Store information. On install, Shopify shares the store’s domain, contact email, plan and locale so we can operate and support the app and show the correct billing.
Product catalogue. The app builds a search index from the store’s products — titles, descriptions, tags, vendor, product type, options such as colour and size, prices and availability — and keeps it updated through Shopify webhooks. The index exists only to serve search results for that store and is never shared across stores or used to train models for other merchants.
Settings. Theme colours, layout choices, copy, synonyms, search rules and merchandising boosts the merchant configures in the admin.
Search analytics. Aggregate counts of search terms, zero-result terms, click-through per term and filter usage. These are totals per term for the store — they contain no identifier of any shopper.
Data we do not collect from shoppers
The storefront widget does not set cookies and does not store or transmit customer IDs, IP addresses, session tokens, cart tokens, email addresses or any other shopper identifier. A search query is processed to return results and counted in aggregate analytics; it is not linked to a person.
Where and how data is processed
The index and analytics are stored on infrastructure operated for BurTech by cloud providers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Natural-language understanding may be performed by third-party AI model providers under agreements that prohibit training on the data; only the search text and catalogue fields needed for the query are sent, never shopper identifiers.
Retention and deletion
When the app is uninstalled, Shopify notifies us and the store’s index, settings and analytics are deleted within 48 hours. Shopify’s mandatory customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks are implemented; because the app stores no customer records, customer requests are answered with a confirmation that nothing is held.
Billing
Plan charges are processed by Shopify under its terms. We do not see or store card details.
